CONGRATULATIONS TO DAVID, OUR FALL 2024 WINNER ---
GRANT RECIPIENT - FALL 2024
David Weimann
“just balloons”
Artist bio:
David Weimann is a food and still life photographer from Germany.
In his own words: “Stuck between the vineyards of Dernau, with my wife (a winemaker) and my two daughters. Trying to picture ordinary things in a bold, graphic, punk-ish way (did I mention that I play guitar in an old men punk band?). I don’t take things and life too seriously and wish that the world could be a bit more light-hearted. A bit like Don Quijote, I refuse to see the world as a shitty place and still think humans can be fun, good and loving. I have been raised by open minded loving parents, which is reflected in my work and the way I think about sexuality.”
