The rules :
Erotic photography, to us, is one of the most important category of photography. This is why we set out to create this grant. We want to know what is erotic for YOU!
We believe a good photo is one that transcends mere visual arousal, is one that pacifies, that makes one delve into a sense of almost inexplicable beauty, gaze and charm.
Doesn’t have to be complex or complicated, a photo can be very simple, very basic, and still give out the aura we are looking for.
Photos can be full nude, part nude, in action, self-portrait, intimacy, whatever, however. Also, eroticism can be found in other things that you see on the daily, for example, a tree or a peach could just as powerfully evoke eroticism.
All photos can be taken with a wide range of cameras. We believe the tool you use is not always the most important asset, so feel free to use your smartphone (any brands), your analog camera, digital camera, old, new, all is welcome. Just be careful though : all photos sent must be in JPG, JPEG, PNG format, and high quality - please make sure of that.
We are warmly welcoming every genders, every identities and all characters really; as long as you are an adult. You can live anywhere in the Universe and apply, so no matter where you come from, feel free to participate.
Most importantly, we ask for respect in your work, nothing degrading, disgraceful or illegal, nothing that could put you or us in trouble. Be mindful, trust your gut.
How it works :
The price to participate : $25 USD to apply and send up to 3 photos (you can send 1 to 3 photos, as you feel - the photos do not have to be from the same body of work). Borders, watermarks or signatures on your entry are not allowed.
(We don’t make any profit with your fee, it just covers the cost of reviewing all photos, judging and deliberation. So your fee is a donation to help our organization function).
The next deadline for participation : 15 june 2024
The participation : to qualify and apply, you must be 18 years of age or older. You may submit as many applications as you like, there is no limit to how many. Be mindful that each application will be judged individually and therefore will require it's own fee. No changes in your application can be done after you hit SUBMIT.
The grant (winner prize) : $2000 USD. Two grants per year will be donated, seasonally; one in Spring, one in Fall.
The winner of the grant : will be notified by email when the seasonal contest terminates. The winner will then be able to provide her/his/their info to receive the grant in cash, directly. After that, her/his/their work will be showcased on our website, with a descriptive text and if desired, her/his/their info, so other people could reach out to them. The winner of the grant is eligible to apply again for the grant, after 2 years from receiving their initial grant award.
Applicants retain full image copyrights.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
The participant declares to be the sole and exclusive owner of the uploaded photographs and to detain, if necessary, the lawful releases from the photographed subjects and is solely responsible in the event of a claim by the photographed subject or, in general, by third parties. Also, the participant declares to be 18 years of age or older, and declares that all persons involved in the photographs (in the process of photographing or on the photos) are 18 years of age or older, and that no one was harmed, obliged to participate, degraded or hurt.
All the photos received by TOTOBANANA.ORG will be treated with the utmost respect. All photos will be permanently destroyed if not selected for the grant. All photos will only be seen by our judges, and never posted on any platforms. We are 100% committed to confidentiality.
